I do not see a category or route for for 100%. I used to run this and do all the spherical bonus games back in the day, and was considering running it. Any thoughts on this? Do people just hate the bonus levels that much?
This was probably not taken seriously in the past due to the game being timed by IGT, which features no way to account for time spent in the Special Stages, but now that the game uses RTA as the primary timing method, I see no reason why All Emeralds couldn't be a legitimate category.
The problem is just getting people to actually run it. I know that some in the past have done All Emeralds on the side as a fun thing, but it's never been a competitive category that people have taken seriously as far as I'm aware.
As of today, any new submissions of S3K from the Steam version will no longer be allowed. This is due to a couple of factors but mostly being inhibited availability as SEGA delisted it when releasing Origins. Any existing runs will remain unaffected.
