Hi, I'm new to the KSS Speed running scene and to speed running in general. I've looked at a couple speed runs of KSS and I watched videos on the topic but I didn't get why people used the Japanese so often. I'm guessing maybe it's faster because usually that's the case but I'm just making sure.

Japanese has faster text scrolling. It doesn't save much but it adds up in RoMK and the battle windows fights. Not sure if there is anything else but I know this is the main reason.
