Pause Menu level skip for UFO levels: OK for Any%?

Recently I decided to start running this game, and I'm somewhat confused with the rules. With certain levels, there are UFOs trying to steal cows, and to complete the level, you must wait out the timer. By using the Pause Menu level skip (Start then Select) you skip a level, and with these UFO levels, doing this skip still says 'Level Completed'. Would that make it OK for use in an Any% run?

Hmm, I just checked that out and missed that originally, and that's a really good question/observation.

Part of me feels although it's a lame part of the run waiting for the UFOs, they should be waited for because the debug mode is kind of built into the prototype and shouldn't be allowed at all (which would mirror most speedrun pages and their rules, as obviously often debug features or level select codes and such are banned from actual speedruns for obvious reasons).

Part of me hates how long the UFOs take and never noticed this quirk, and wouldn't mind setting up a category that allows for this.

What do you think?

I think a category for UFO levels being skipped would be nice for those who want to run the game but don't want to do these specific levels.

Also, I remembered there is a specific level in the Mall world requiring use of the Pause Menu skip in order to move on due to an elevator being missing. Would it be OK for use on that specific level?

Use of the skip in just those stages?

Use of the skip for UFO stages should be allowed in this new category, while use of the skip on the impossible Mall stage should be universal and allowed for Any% runs to move on past it.

Oh, also just remembered the 'Officer Barbrady' Boss fight in the Cattle Ranch is somewhat impossible to complete due to his platform killing the boys if they stand on it, and kills Cartman even if he's thrown. There IS a way to defeat him, but once he's defeated, Cartman falls straight down, meaning he'll land on the platform and die before the Kenny Cutscene can play out. Would use of the Pause Menu skip be allowed for this Boss only after the third his has been landed?

Yeah, anywhere it's needed for actual progress.

How about we make it simplified?

Record a run as-is where the skip is used only where needed to progress and we can make the rules reflective around it in either the main category or a new one if some of these scenes are impossible. Sounds like you routed this much better than me.
