There is nothing wrong with self-verification. If a moderator can be trusted to verify other people's runs they can be trusted to verify their own runs.

There is also nothing stopping the community from reviewing the run themselves in the future. It's not like because a mod self-verified that the run cant be touched.

What's with all these brand new accounts made specifically to call out completely random runs.

A few of the mods on that game self-verify, so they seem to be fine with that. Audio isn't specified as a requirement in the game's rules. I see no issue here. If there ever is a problem, talk to the game moderators instead of making a random post in the global site forums.
