New to speed running. Interested in running retro games. I've been using a Retron 5 to practice as I am a cartridge collector and don't see the point in owning them if I can't play them. Been doing this for a while. I've been told the Retron slows down the games and isn't valid in all forums to use to submit runs anyway. Looking for advice on what technology to purchase as well as the emulator to use for a lowish/medium cost set up for emulation and capture. This includes looking for advice on computer/specs. (My home computer is for work and adding this sort of thing would not fly!) I'm mostly playing nes, snes, and genesis games. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
