Hi there. Just about to start practicing for speedrun subs and i had a question.

Is there a specific timer i need to use? If so, how do I get it?

I noticed most runners seem to use the same looking one but i havent had any luck finding it.

Thanks everyone!

The program we use is Livesplit, and we use a different split depending on the category, which you can find in resources section.

I thought that might be what those were but wanted to make sure. Thanks a lot!

Hi there!

One quick follow up question.

I installed the one I need, and it does seem to load up fine after renaming as instructed. But I can't seem to make the timer start. Am I missing a button somewhere?

Thanks!

Right click on livesplit program - go to compare against - check that Game Time is selected instead of Real time. Also, open livesplit as Admin.

Hi all. One final question as I'm getting ready to practice. I noticed runners usually (may even be required as I'm still memorizing the rules) have their timer going on the title screen and then it resets for game play. Example: Timer shows running time of 3 minutes before ever hitting start game.

I want to do that (especially if it's required) but can't seem to do it. I hit start and it shows the attempt number go up but the timer doesn't start until game until game play launches.

How do I get that working? Can send an example video if unclear what I mean.

Thanks

Right click on livesplit - edit layout - double click on scriptable autosplitter - and make sure you have open the autosplitter for your category there.

You need to delete the reset part in the autosplit script by opening it as textfile. Deleting this allows to start, reset manually. Its used to skip the intro at XX:60 till XX:99 because the timer sometimes start at +1 sec.
