Rules for IL runs?

Hello,

currently I plan to run Dungeon Keeper, the ILs.

Since it is possible to have a "New Game" after beating the campaign I would like to talk about the rules - or some that need to be made.

As you know, you can transfer a creature in most levels, making it much more easy to rush a level. However in a full game run training certain creatures might take too long(e.g. a knight to L10). In theory, you might even start with a Horny in the lower levels with the New Game, which would however make not much sense, as the secret level to obtain Horny is only available later.

So we should discuss the rules IMHO. Having a real Any% category for ILs or a one that follows the canonical level order? Also a "No transfer" category might be an idea.

I think the combination of Any% and "No transfer" would be the best. I don't run this category though, so it's primarily up to what you prefer at this point. I can make a category if you want to.

Alright, that should work. I think at first I will run and then submit some Any% runs, then let´s see for no transfer. Of course it would take longer time, as this would require in some levels building up a dungeon instead of a rush.

That's very true. Although as far as I've heard, some people do actually prefer that way of playing DK1. Could be a good way of attracting a new runner-base? For the any%, we could prepare the level before and save it in "resources" so that it won't be that gruesome for everyone wanting to try it.
