Started routing this game recently did my first full run and got 5:49:xx which I hope to bring down to sub 5:30and maybe beyond as I had issues with gang take backs that wasted time.

I have what I think is the best/ most efficient way to get the respect needed which is:

1)The 4 snatch mission, the 2 that get respect bossing items being done before all others, using the indestructible taxi glitch for the car used during this activity so that time isn't wasted either repairing the car or switching with the added benefit of making it far safer. 2)The 3 insurance frauds using a police car and crashing into other car to get the windscreen catapult. 3)The demo derby 4)And the last 3-4 levels are made up of tags that are nicely placed, Hostages that are done on route in short drives that are need and delivery of common/ conveniently cars on the chop shop lists saving them in the garage throughout the run and dropped of when in one glut when in the area.

I have a basic route and mission order but it is ever-changing as while there is a taxi delivery service it obviously takes time to use it and as most of the missions are started from one area and often finish in that same area it is getting a string of which mission finish where to chain them and opening up strongholds and getting them done in a logical order.

There is a few strats I found to speed up, skip parts or make safe some mission which I’ll edit into this post later on.

I’ve come back round to routing this game and have made some progress by basically tearing up the old route and starting over in order to solve some of the problems that were plaguing the old route.

Rather than interweaving activities, needed to get respect, in-between missions and using them as a way to travel between missions I have moved them so 95% of the respect is gained in a single block as soon as you are free to roam after the first 2 enforced missions. While this loses small amounts of time gained not travelling between missions it reduces the amount of time there is for pushbacks to occur. Previously I expected to get 6 or 7 plus whereas now 3 seems to be what I am consistently getting so a time save overall.

Another big this is a change up in money management at the start to allow $500 to be spent on tattoos getting the 10% bonus respect earlier and subsequently getting 15% for all but 2 activities and while this is only an extra half a level it is still some time saved.

Mission order is the next thing I’ll work on but that should only take a couple of hours to solve so hopefully I can get a sub 5:15 run in the near future.

With mission order there seems to be a straight choice between a slightly quicker intertwining of the 3 arcs that will result in more pushbacks with less control over them or doing them 1 gang at a time and having less pushbacks with a higher degree of control where they spawn and total control of when they spawn.

I tend to prefer the later as the time lost doing a pushback can be considerable if the wrong ones are spawned and I believe that the time lose doing extras over the 3 in this route will be far greater than what is gained in the slightly better travel.

Los Carnales is locked in as the first part and I have that section taking me 1h 17 mins with the saints prologue missions included in that. I am leaning to doing the Vice king missions after as that is seemingly the faster way but that may change.

Just a few thoughts, somewhat directed at Noz, to start a idea exchange about the route.

For me the optimal start is: Canonized - Back to Basics – then get tattoos to hit the 10% before any activities are done. The first activity I would do is red-light district snatch to get the reward and hit the max 15% possible after. From there it opens up more options.

Your tags route increases in value with the 15% and has the potential to save a lot of time if there is enough that are quick enough, that gain enough respect to remove part of or all of an activity.

Dex’s raycaster is a perfect match for the required chop shop delivery 1200 base respect and 15%extras 180

I have changed the route up a bit since then, removing a activity and adding more chop shop vehicles including the raycaster, and my latest run ended with no respect levels after All the King's men, so much more optimised but relied on some lucky RNG for downtown chop shop and 3 extra tags.

as for missing out on 10%, I only miss out on 600 respect which is one tag and 2 kills... so it's not really a big deal imo.

I just personally dislike snatch, I felt like trying to avoid it with the first route and only including barrio for the 15% bonus you get.

The route I used will probably change allot after each run though to try and get "free" timesaves.

A new minor skip I found in Aisha's Favor; you can skip the car following section by simply driving to where the car goes and not getting in range of the car you have to follow.

Basically drive to the warehouse without going near the car you have to follow you will trigger the cutscene when you get into the place where his car ends triggering it.
