Can anyone recommend a good, relatively cheap, camera that can HDMI output a live image?

I'm hoping to start streaming DS games, and I think my best bet is to record the screen itself. I've got a basic setup in mind but I need a camera that can HDMI-out a live image. Any ideas?

Do you specifically need HDMI output? I job interviewed with the $25 or less "1080P Webcam with Microphone, Wansview USB 2.0 Desktop Laptop Computer Web Camera" and got video and audio that were both conspicuously finer than the other people in group interviews. Outputs h.264 encoded video over USB so no need for capture card. You may not accept that it's 30 fps versus 60 fps but price point is what it is. If you want to add in microphone voice over, easy to do in OBS or the equivalent.

@EmeraldAly why not just use a phone? They have pretty solid cameras.

Also for cameras, IK this isn't "cheap" per say, but the canon powershot elph 300 HS is a pretty solid camera that you can find relatively cheap on ebay ($30-50).

My suggestion would be to ask on reddit or perhaps in tech channels of some of the marathons/communities. The more knowledgeable people do not tend to respond in here that often, or they do not see these threads at all. My biggest recommendation would probably be the tech channel in the ESAMarathon discord, people are quite friendly and eager to help with such topics in my experience.

Yes. I want to use my same capture device.

That would be fine. What phone has HDMI?
