Glados Glitchless setup

Hi guys, I would like to know what is the good and 100% chance setup for Glados in Glitchless ? For the "new technique" : direct hit on the corner of the platform. I'm getting very inconsistent results and sometimes I'm even slower than the "old technique". Also, is there any way to display our speed in Portal ? So I can practice bhop better. Thanks

cl_showpos shows the velocity, although the numbers are quite small on a 1080p display. I think there was a mod for HL2 that displayed the speed nicer, but I have never actually asked around for that, so I'm not sure if it's available for Portal. Personally I put a bind (bind o "incrementvar cl_showpos 0 1 1") on O to toggle cl_showpos for the purpose of OoB runs. cl_showpos is in the whitelist in the rules, so will be fine to use during runs as well.

As for the GLaDOS strat, I'd be very interested in a consistent way to get that as well, as I'm still doing ancient strats myself, but haven't found anything either, when I tried it.

The nice speed display is part of Ghosting Mod, and IIRC it shows horizontal speed rather than overall speed, so it's more useful. Only works for HL2 though.

Edit: also, don't worry about optimising bunnyhopping too much in glitchless because you'll basically only gain speed between jumps and then get capped again (not really because glitchless doesn't exist but that's a whole other thing)

for the glados fight, if you watch my video you can see the following technique:

-stand a little far out for the turret to start targeting you and turn around -once the turret has turned around and is starting to look up, back up a little bit -wait for it to shoot -profit????

i feel like my explanation doesnt make sense, but it is a trick that will get easier the more you do it and get used to it

Yeah I know basically how to do it, but sometimes the shot doesnt land on glados and I'm loosing a ton of time.

I feel like I've found some consistency by looking to a certain pixel on the ground, but I was wondering what was the point of reference of others.

Audio requirements

Starting today, runs that require video proof (top 25) and runs beyond that where video is the only form of proof, now require audio, as recording audio for only the game is now a native OBS feature.
