How to make a Customized Portal Gun?
- Download a program call VTFEdit
- In the source unpack folder go to portal > materials > models > v_weapons and find the file called v_portalgun.vtf
- Open said file in VTFEdit and export it to your desktop as a PNG / JPG
- Use any photo editing program you'd like to edit the skin.
- When done, open VTFEdit and go File > Import and choose the photo file you edited
- When open, go File > Save As > v_portalgun.vtf
- Replace the stock .vtf file with your edited one in ../unpack/portal/material/models/v_weapons
- Open portal and you should have your new skin
NOTE: This method works with whatever texture you want
Audio requirements
Starting today, runs that require video proof (top 25) and runs beyond that where video is the only form of proof, now require audio, as recording audio for only the game is now a native OBS feature.
