Do you have to use normal splits?

I'm using LiveSplit to automatically start and stop my timer as well as pause during loads, however I've disabled AutoSplitting because I prefer to have a split for every chamber rather than for every map. I was wondering if this was allowed or if I needed to use the standard one map is one split with AutoSplitter enabled?

What your splits are / when it splits doesn't matter, as long as the start and stop is accurate (not sure if you can still do that while having manual splitting). If you record demos, those are also fine for timing so you don't have to worry about having accurate splits.

So I used to do this for a bit until I switched over to automatic splitting. It is much better to have the game automatically split for you after each load so 1. The timing is right 2. You won't have to worry about it. Like back when I played on Xbox, I started my Livesplit at -12.70 on the timer so it looked almost like it matched up with the time, and then at the end of the game, I had to try and perfectly time it right. Now I'm no Admin, but I guess maybe you can, but automatic splitting is much simpler.

You don't need the autosplitter, but that would be a huge problem for any other category than glitchless seeing as you skip some of the elevators in all other categories

Audio requirements

Starting today, runs that require video proof (top 25) and runs beyond that where video is the only form of proof, now require audio, as recording audio for only the game is now a native OBS feature.
