[big]These rules apply to ALL Pac-Man Championship Edition DX[/big]

First off, it shouldn't need saying, but someone will try it: NO TAS and submit your run under the right platform.

[section=Verification and Proof]

IMPORTANT: As of October 17th, 2016 replay's will NOT be accepted. Any runs before that date are permitted to say on the leader board.

Due to the amount of ties possible you NEED proof the run is yours. There are two ways you can prove this:

When recording a run, at some point in the video you must show a view of your desktop (for PC) or the XBoxOne or PS4 interface. [center]OR[/center] The harder but nicer option is if you are on PC is to include a time stamp which can found in the task bar, usually here: http://i.imgur.com/wj7coq0.png

Runs previous to this rule change (before April 23rd, 2016) will NOT be removed.

[section=Levels and Boards] Levels that can be ran and what shorts they have are found here: Level Spreadsheet

Any further questions can be posted below.

on your run you posted that it was done in 3 minutes 13 seconds it actually should be 6 minutes 47 seconds to reach 2 million because remember that your on a cowntdown timer in game, and your reading that time as time remaining not time played, my suggestion to remedy this is running a split program such as livesplit to show time played on the game itself to accuraetly show how long it takes to reach 2 million and 3 million on all pattern layout categories or can simply use the in game timer and when completing 2 million or 3 million to subtract 10 minutes from the time remaing to get time played. Its humanly impossible to even score 2 million points in 3 minutes on any pattern layout just so you know

The times for score runs are ranked in ascending order because of that reason. This is because the more time left on the clock the faster you got a 2,000,000/3,000,000 score. So the higher the time the better you do. I would like to avoid split timers when possible as they're a slight inconvenience.

ah ok just making sure you knew, and thanks for stating it goes in accending order, it helps why it was posted in that fashion :) Obviously, was only suggesting splits if only to show time played, in game time works fine if your only including minutes and seconds which in this case it is, of course if the runs end in ties, then obviously splits would become the timer to use to break ties, which it can at some point. but for now i completely am fine with the in game timer :)

If there was the be a tie down to the second I would personally go and time the milliseconds my self. However, this will rarely (or maybe never) happen so I'm not too worried. Also with split timers the runner will lose focus in the middle of a run trying to hit the split key. With a game as fast paced as this one that's not a good thing. Additionally runners on the mobile platform cannot have splits.

Showing failed attempts would work too, I'll update rules this weekend

Some questions:

  1. Are replays (using the game's replay feature) of existing best times acceptable for submission?
  2. Are PS3/XBOX 360 times acceptable?
  3. "Manhatten" should be "Manhattan"

Thanks.

Sorry about getting to your question so late xelnia. Anyway, yes console run are accepted. On to your first question, replay's will no longer be accepted, however this rule will only effect runs after October 16th, 2016.

Since i uploaded today i'm assuming my runs aren't affected. Furthermore why wouldnt replays be allowed? If it's clearly seen that the submitter is the one who did the run (via the timestamp on pc or via menu on xbox/PS) why does it matter that its a replay?

Scotland

so we cant use our replay for runs now?

16 months later, Manhattan is still misspelled...

I'd like to add that from now on replays are allowed so long as you show any part of your desktop if on PC or if on console show your console's interface (xbox home button or the playstations)

Hello! I'm gonna get WR on almost all of these ! And i've noticed loads are missing. Is there a reason for this ? For Example, in Mountain, only Short 1 is done. The others are empty. Highway has only S1,S2 and S5 completed. And Big Eater has 0 runs.

I'm gonna upload these runs sometime soon, I just dont understand why they're blank ?

Valhalla

Are you talking about time with loads? Because if so, there’s no point in it when all the categories are calculated through the in-game timer, it’d be unnecessary information. They’re blank because no one has done a run of them yet

Mainly just some levels have short times missing. It's like someone has run though all the levels and uploaded times but hasn't bothered to do a few of them ? I just wondered if there was a reason for it.

Also, some levels like 'Half' Dont have a category for them, what's the reason for that ?

Valhalla

It does now ?

Awesome! You should also add a Time Trial Category too for each map! Since theres the shorts, and then theres the full TT. :)
