In a previous thread of mine I asked about the legality of runs using digital backups for PS2 through a console soft-mod. The response was, in essence, that it was a decision which fell onto the community (much like emulation) of the game itself due to the almost inevitable reduction in loading times.

While I remember Nano Breaker (the game in question) used to be listed in this site, not only is it no longer in the catalog but the original runner, who has his WR unlisted on Youtube, is unresponsive (I have no knowledge of whether the user is truly active) and his Twitch channel was deleted. As of today, the "newest" upload on his Youtube channel is four years old, even older than his WR run from back in 2017.

Given that there is no community for Nano Breaker and requesting the game necessitates a full, unedited run of the game, would I be allowed to submit a game request playing the title through my digital back up on my soft-modded PS2? The user who opens a request would be made moderator for the game as a representative of the game's community but, of course, there is no community for Nano Breaker as of the writing of this forum thread.

I do not know if there was some fallout which caused the deletion of the runner's Twitch account and where the other players who I swear I saw around at least a couple of years ago could be, much less do I have any knowledge of where exactly the rest of the small playerbase went.

Finally: if I am allowed to submit under such conditions, would it be my decision as a moderator to approve the use of digital back ups for further runs of should I bring this to site moderation?

Is the use of digital backups on PS2 through OPL/PS2Loader legal? I do not know if running digital versions of any given game actually decreases loading times but I still would rather ask to be sure.

The game I am planning on running (Nano Breaker) has, at some point (I do not know when), been removed, so I could not ask the community directly outside of a runner who seems to be active on reddit but who has not yet replied.
