Massachusetts, USAIt's really tough for me to decide which categories we should add honestly, a lot of people want quite a few different categories. We're filling up in the categories department (if you haven't noticed already) and really can't accept all of these. I think the original plan was to add a second 40 Tracks category and add the 48 tracks category (along with the Crossing Cup and Bell Cup categories). If you guys instead want to scrap 40 tracks and have just 48 Tracks, that's okay too. A DLC Tracks category is a good idea too. But with so much room taken up already by the other categories, I doubt we can fit everything. So what do you think? Should we scrap some categories to make room for new ones? Should we only add some new ones but not others?

What exactly do you mean by Mushrooms Only? I'm assuming mushrooms are the only items you use, but what tracks?
An ISO is an artificial copy of the game that is used via a USB and USB Loader. It is banned due to unfairly fast load times and it being an unofficial version of the game.
You don't need a timer as long as you follow all of the rules, but if your time is a high-place run (1st, 2nd, etc), you should probably edit your run and put a screenshot in the comment section to help prove it further.

You can use a capture card on Wii U without HDMI perfectly fine, just use the AV slot in the back of the console (Or component as well). Finding a cheap HDMI capture card is pretty difficult, the cheapest one I can think of is the Elgato for ~$180. However, you can use a standard-quality Dazzle via the AV cables (yellow, white, red) for ~$50-$70 with all of the needed parts.
Emulators are only used for TASing, also they along with ISOs are banned for speedrunning anyway
GP is probably your best bet, because you would only have to choose each cup rather than each track.
That makes sense and I sort of agree with you there, but people have been wanting them and in my opinion it makes sense to add DLC cats as we go since people would have to wait 6 months to even start doing them.
Also, removing 40 tracks and only having 48 isn't fair to those that may only have DLC Pack 1 (even if its barely anyone.). 48 Tracks will be added once Pack 2 is released.
Please put the date as 2014 and leave the other two blank, rather than putting a false date and adding a comment
I get where you're coming from, but a good amount of people wanted me to add it in. I know there's no option for it, but it's still pretty simple to set up. I see no reason to remove it.

40 Tracks categories have been added to the leaderboard, along with Egg and Triforce Cups categories. 48 Tracks categories and the final two cup categories will be added once DLC Pack 2 is released.

I don't want to come off as rude, but asking for an entirely new category just to have a run on a leaderboard is annoying. To people doing this, just do another run correctly rather than starting posts like this because your run didn't meet requirements. It sucks only seeing the forum active with posts like this.
Yeah, there's no point in making a category where the only differences is that the tracks are mirrored. No core game mechanics are really changing.
The promotion banners should probably be updated to the logos used in the new default theme rather than the mint one. Maybe keeping the mint ones is fine, but the new white ones should be added.
