Pressing space pauses it once you use TAB to move the icon over to highlight the word :)

1-7 is definitely easy enough for all to compete against, and it will build the confidence of any bystanders for sure :D

Hello all, me again.

With the first 160 emblem runs out and with the vast knowledge and precise movements needed to do so, I was wondering if anyone would want categories related to it. My first suggestion would be Nights Any% (basically just going for all the time emblems but they're not required, but aiming for them is a good bonus for a 160 run!) and then maybe if people are interested we'd do All emblems and Nights 100% (including Black Hole). Now my initial idea is just stages 1-7 as new players will be able to join in and not feel like someone's just crushed a boulder through their grave. Thanks guys!

Just to revisit this. I've changed the leaderboard up a little, kept the categories for runs which are being played (all emeralds is being played, no one is submitting times). I've decided to keep 2.1.14 and the vanilla 2.2 version categories due to how different they are, but I've decided to remove 2.0 entirely. It should work out better this way, I hope everyone is satisfied with the changes. Thanks guys

I'm aware the official Srb2 leaderboards say to have a timer displayed in the run, however, as it is the same run and I see it as stupid as "the run needs to have commentary in it" the runs approved here don't need a timer to be displayed. If we have any complications with a run (like one with game speeds and such) there is a fix around, just takes longer to approve. So to clarify, whilst the Srb2 leaderboard may say to display a timer, they are not expected here. Thanks guys!

I'm not sure if adding the games under the sub-rom folder will work.

Guessing by the response I've deduced we might have to have versions that are being run (so 2.1.14 Sonic,Tails,Knux,Ultimate Sonic, v1.09.4 Sonic) and get rid of the rest unless someone has a run, in which case they'll have to place it on the forum to say and we'll see if it's viable to re add the category.

It's a bit of a pain seeing v1.09.4 as a "Rom Hack/Mod" as it is pretty annoying as it's inaccurate.

@Inuyasha. This is worth discussion for the people who'd be running it. Of course I see what you mean though. It was just if people wished to run 2.1.14 still for whatever reason then they could. Knowing the difference between 2.0 and 2.1.14 I was aware there was maybe going to be some runners of the older version for strafe fly tails. And of course a few different kinds of controls (like losing momentum faster letting go of forward and so on). It's nice to see your input, my only deal was if I made it a vanilla leaderboard then we may have to keep deleting the leaderboards every so often. Yeah and it's open to all without a really tedious forum to go through. I like it here and hope it becomes good grounds for learning whenever anyone aims to run the game :)

Yeah, obviously this site isn't going to have rings and score, I mean it could, but defeat the purpose. But I really did like the idea of giving this to TMR as it was mentioned by a few people that there's no list for these runs.

Hello all. Just a quick one but how would people feel with posting the IL speedruns here? Would be interesting I suppose and it wouldn't just be "fastest time stays on the site" due to the way this site keeps your run history/the way srb2.org keeps its run history.

It's the sad truth there, Ors. I guess it will depend on the amount of runs coming in vs the new category. Only reason a SS category of 1.09.4 and 2.0.7 was because they were their own entity and are vastly different to each other. With this new update I only see a few changes but it would probably still knock 2.1.14 into obsolescence. Don't let that stop you submitting, though. ;)

Well with that said, what of 2.0? Should that still be a thing due to its obsolescence? Or is it unique enough to stay up? Again, I only want what's best for you guys running the game.

As we're all aware, the tidbits of 2.2 have been worked on for a while and it looks unlikely for another 2.1.x update past 14 before 2.2 is released. With that, I want to ask on if we should keep the categories for 2.1.14 on this site or if we should remove them in favour of 2.2.x. This is purely a community choice but I want to make sure before winding everyone up with silly updates to the page. 2.1.14 looks like it will be a minor difference from 2.2 but whether or not people want to run 2.1.14 and not 2.2 is a community choice. I realised I didn't answer why there was an Any% and an Ultimate Mode but the difference really is that one requires a lot more thought and is a challenge of course :) Some things you can't do in Ultimate mode that you can in Any%

Hard to mod a whole game yourself. Right, here we go.

1. it's not, however, the categories just looked nicer when I initially added them in with Sonic Robo Blast 2 in the title instead of just vX.

2. That is exactly what it implies, the ONLY change in any 2.1 version so far has been what looks like gameplay things but nothing to do with breaks as far as I'm aware (all under the hood updates from what I last checked). There was a glitch I found recently and, IF that gets patched then the game rules will be changed for the 2.1.x category to exclude prior versions to the fixed version. The reason it's "2.1.x" and not like the other versions is because the other game versions have ended at 1.09.4 and 2.0.7.

3. The Ultimate Sonic category was added simply because there is a run of Ultimate mode for Sonic. Didn't really wanna go around making other categories at the time because I was unsure who'd run those categories as Tails as Knuckles. Nonetheless, if someone did a run of Tails or Knuckles Ultimate mode then yeah, I'd add them in. It's more what you guys submitting want on here.

4. I was planning on running it but in my eyes you need to look at it like "we need to cover some interesting things as well as the main game" that was just my look at it. It was a silly idea and tbh, will probably be removed.

5. Thank you for the spot. I was never too sure and at the time of making the list I didn't have the site to compare against as it was conveniently down at that moment in time. That'll be fixed after I finish this message.

I've ran with that camera and can safely say it does not run the same way albeit that is a problem for another thread.

Can't have a little fun on forums if you can't post random levels :p also I feel like Steam would be the alternative until disc has a camera that doesn't suck complete ass. Sky Chase 3 episode 1 glitches all day, yo.

I've had it do this when it was facing away so, as Ross said, I'd let it have a second as it may be settling in to a spot or something bs like that. SADX and its glitches.

Could I be added as a moderator to the game Sonic Adventure DX? http://www.speedrun.com/sadx The current mods have made it clear to not even bother as much as a response for any attempt of messaging any of them, and as it happens, a run I've put in (only 3 minutes long) hasn't been verified for a while which is a bit weird. It seems like (although there ARE a few mods) that there's only one active mod. Thank you for all your time.
