Yup, you have a different version of the game. It appears he is still updating the game regularly so I will start keeping track of his updates. Hopefully the final version of the game is released soon so the run stops changing. He updated the game yesterday, I am making a category for legacy runs and moving my run there, the any% will be for the most recent version of the game.

Could you post a screenshot of what you have to go through? I have never had any puzzles and the door codes are always the same.
Could you take a screenshot of the location in question? Not sure where you are talking about.
Not sure which ending you mean, but if it's a legitimate ending then I don't see anything wrong with it. I am interested myself if it is faster. I was thinking about doing the ending on the right but there is a period after you click the eye where you can still move before it ends.
