Is there any reason why the Discord has suddenly changed it´s privacy settings. Too bad since I know can´t post on the server anymore - and to be fair, there are many other methods to prevent bot spamming.

I saw discussion of changing them when the Discord was hit with multiple bots that were sending DMs to members of the server. At a glance I saw at least 20+ bots banned in a short time.
