Hi! I will be getting a capture card in a month or so and i am going to attempt speedrunning this game on the virtual console, but i clicked submit run to check if it was an option and all i see is NES. Should i classify it as an emulator? Thanks!

Yeah, classify it as an emulator. Fair warning though, playing this on the virtual console will create input lag, which makes this game much, much harder to speedrun.
