Tips for getting Trophies more efficiently

One thing about this game is that some trophies have somewhat obscure or not very clear requirements and that can cause problems when getting them fast.

There are also other trophies that can be obtained much faster with methods different from the intended ones.

After plenty of trial-and-error testing, I managed to determine some fast ways to get these tricky trophies and here’s the strats I came up with.

Trophy Name ……………………………………………………. Method

“Some words of praise would be nice!” …………….... Best moment to get this trophy is after beating Part 7’s story since you should have plenty of gold stockpiled and shop items available. Buying everything from the Voice and BGM categories should get you over 500 items right away.

“You weakling!” ……………………………………………….. I find that the easiest moment to get this is in the Giorno vs Diavolo fight. Giorno’s multi punch move has lots of hits and you can use Flash Cancels to extend your combo for a very long time. Since you start with GER, your HH gauge won’t be used much so you have plenty to do many Flash Cancels. Getting Diavolo to block to cause the Guard Crush is the tricky part. If you fail here, valentine’s fights are another good opportunity to do this since Gyro and Johnny’s moves have lots of hits and Valentine likes to block too.

“The hell is this, a punching contest?” …………….…. This one can be tricky since you’re relying on the CPU to do a multi punch move to start Rush Mode (btw, Rush Mode is just when 2 Stand go ORAORAORA against each other when their multi punch moves collide. Some people get confused about this sometimes). The best moment for this is in Part 3 DIO’s fights since he uses his MUDA MUDA attack often and there are also hidden missions for doing this against him. Be careful to not be very close to him since he can lock you in a corner at the wrong turn. You could do this in the Giorno vs Bruno fight but Bruno rarely uses his multi punch attack.

“You’ve mastered this game, haven’t you!” …….…. One thing that helps with this trophy is that you don’t need to finish the fight you’re in when you get it. You can quit right after receiving the trophy and keep it.

“Whoa! Look out above you!” ………………….………. This one is tricky because you have to be the one that sets off the battleground gimmicks. If the CPU does it, it won’t count so you have to pay attention if things get messy.

“TACOS!” …………………………………………………………. For this one, both you and the CPU need to be hit by the battleground gimmicks. This gets tricky on stages where the gimmick follows a path, has very short range or affects random places (Part 7’s stage is one of the trickiest ones). You have to manipulate the CPU to be on the correct place most of the time.

“Don’t come near me!” …………………………….……….. This one also requires some manipulation of the CPU to get the right position but there are 2 of them you can’t get in Story Mode. Those are Part 6’s gimmicks since they involve the use of Pucchi’s abilities and he’s your opponent in all Part 6 battles. You’ll have to do these in VS mode along the stages that don’t appear in Story Mode normally.

“I stopped time…” …………………………………………….. This can be rather tricky to get against the CPU since you only have 2 chances for it (Part 3 DIO’s battles) and he likes to stop time instead of using his GHA most of the time. It doesn’t help that you also need to aim for the Rush Mode trophy in the same battles (and splitting them up is actually worse because the CPU could then troll you and not cooperate with what you need). One alternate strat I had was going into Practice Mode with a second controller and set the HH Bars to infinite and do the sequence manually since you don’t need to finish the battle after getting the trophy. Another thing that is touchy is the input to activate Jotaro's Time Stop. what i do is mash D-pad down and the Style button during DIO's Steamroller sequence until the moment it's supposed to happen. it's worked well for me so far.

“Thanks, Gyro. I mean it.” …………………………………. This one is pretty much free on the way but I figured I’d mention it just in case. Johnny’s GHA puts him in Act 4 immediately, gets you the best HHA and gets you a hidden mission in the Valentine match so it’s worth it to use the GHA as soon as you can. Just try to not miss since it’s a bit easy to miss early in the match.

“A truly unpredictable Stand!” ………………………..….. You get this one almost automatically since it’s just using your HHA and then adding the missile to it. Since you’re at a disadvantage in the second Kosaku fight, I think it’s better to do it in the first fight’s round 2.

“The birth of the Ultimate Life Form!” …………...…... this one is very fast and easy if you do Part 2’s final battle in the Another Battle mode. You start as Ultimate Kars right away and get the trophy instantly and can quit the match immediately.

“Time to climb the Stairway to Heaven!” ………...…. Same deal as Kars’ trophy. Doing Part 6’s final battle in the Another Battle mode starts you with Made in Heaven and you get the trophy right away. Getting Made in Heaven normally is quite slow.
