Hi, so I'm new to the speedrun community, hello ! I've recently watched several speedruns of Final Fantasy X. I just love that game so much I can watch tons of speedruns of it and not get bored, that's great.

Recently I've considered doing a speedrun of it myself, so I've started looking into it and so far I've downloaded LiveSplit and see how it works.

I don't have many relevant questions considering that I won't be submitting a run any time soon but I'm curious about one thing though.

When you submit a run, you are asked a link to the video of your run but I've seen some runs that are split into several parts. How does this work ? I've heard about segmented runs but I guess those are unique runs splited into several videos ? You can't just pause the timer and the game, go to bed, wake up, resume timer and resume the game, can you?
