::WARNING:: BACK UP YOUR DARK CLOUD SAVES BEFORE TRYING THIS. IF YOU DO THE SKIP GLITCH INCORRECTLY, YOU WILL MAKE THE SAVE TRY TO DISPLAY A NON-EXISTENT MAP NAME, WHICH WILL FREEZE THE CONSOLE AS SOON AS THE MEMORY CARD IS SELECTED, MAKING ALL OF YOUR DARK CLOUD SAVES INACCESSIBLE.

Q: Why doesn't the glitch menu work for me? A: My guess is that the glitch only works on specific PS2 models or versions. I can't even get the trigger to work on PCSX2. Below is the model, browser, and driver versions for two consoles that the glitch menu always works on:

Friend's Fat PS2 Model Console SCPH-30001 R Browser 1.20 CD Player 1.20 Playstation® Driver 1.10 DVD Player 2.10U Original and Greatest Hits versions of Dark Cloud (NTSC-U) both work on each of those two consoles.
Below is an example of a console that the glitch menu DOES NOT work on. This one is a Slim model. Here are the versions it has:

Q: Why is the Sum of Best Segments now 35 minutes? A: The best split for floor B5 was messed up since it used to have the floor B4 split before it.
Q: Are glitched speed runs possible in every version? A: Skipping the entire game is currently possible in the NTSC-U and PAL version, but a fast way to skip the game in the PAL version hasn't been found yet.

Q: Why don't you collect any georama parts on floors 1 to 3? A: Ignoring the parts saves a lot of time, but the georama parts are not found on the same levels in every run. Level 2 & 3 usually has 1 or 2 parts you need to skip the game. Random Parts are also the reason why I get every single part on every other floor.
Q: Why don't you kill anything or open any chests? A: Opening chests is only required if there's a locked door or mimics in the dungeon floor I'm on. Although chests can contain Dran's feather which makes you run much faster, they're so rare, it's not worth looking for them. As for enemies, I only kill enemies to get the Gate Key to finish the floor, or for quick weapon Abs.
Q: Why don't you fight Cave Bats, Statues and sometimes Mimics? A: Cave Bats are hard to hit, they poison, and they don't drop Gate Keys at all. Statues and mimics take so many hits if I only have a dagger, and they destroy my weapons at a ridiculous speed. They could also have the gate key which can be a problem unless I have 2 or more weapons. Also, I will sometimes fight Mimics hoping that they drop a Dran's Feather.
Q: Why do you bring up the game menu for no reason? A: I'm either triggering the broken dagger / glitch menu, or my brain glitched and I forgot what Items I had.
Q: Why do you have to save and reset? A: The first reset is needed to allow Broken Daggers to be checked in. The second reset is needed so the game doesn't freeze when customizing the 3rd weapon.
Q: What is the shortest possible dungeon run to get every needed Georama Part? A: The shortest dungeon run I have seen is up to floor 10. My run went to floor 12.
