Pokemon Conquest is definitely one of my favorite games, and I had an interest in running this game seriously for a while - however upon checking the leaderboards I see there is a single run, and it's two years old. This would be my first "real" run - I've posted runs on this site before but that was more of a tech test and they no longer exist. I couldn't find a contact on ridelith's Twitch account, so this forum post was my second option. If possible I would love to be pointed in the correct direction as to where to start, but for now I'll see if I can assemble a video of me completing this game and post it on here. -sfpt
i use to have a time on here though it was really bad.... honestly not sure why it was removed. you can catch my VOD of here it was over 3 hours for no Password run
its been a while since I've played it and honestly would like to get back into it. from what i remembered the key things for no password runs
- certain Pokemon are required. magikarp, drillbur, darumaka etc.
- Jolteon seems to be the best all rounder evolution to go for.
- knowing each stage environment and how you can use that to your advantage. - the one where you capture the flags is important to know what the AI tend to do
Password runs (do not have to much knowledge on this) 2) lapras was keyed in. people seem to reset if they can only bond with 1... you can get 3 if lucky.
. i did try to explain some things on my VOD.... though from what i have noticed not a lot of routing info is available. i think it is possible to manipulate specific movement by moving your Pokemon in certain ways. i think the grass gym was subject to this, but again no real proof is available from what i can see anyway.
i did make some notes. if you like i can try and did them up for you :) i know this isn't a great deal to go on, but hopefully it is at least a start. any questions feel free to ask ill try my best to answer. let me know if you decide to stream and ill tag along :)
Thanks for the reply - I managed to get in contact with ridelith, got some useful information. When my new R4 card arrives in the mail I'll see if I can find time for a quick run. In the meantime I'll be doing a bit of research with heavy save states
edit: I'll be going for a password run
