2x speed, skipping auto scrollers, small cutscenes etc... Mods don't have time to verifying every frame of every run specially when it's not a super competitive game with lots of mods |

Not currently. Technically this would make the run Any% w/ DLC. |

Just a quick note: Nvidia Profile Inspector adds more input lag (sometimes 4 frames depending on the game). Rivatuner adds 1 frame of input lag. |

Hey! Welcome. The trick is to press space as soon as the "reset level thingy" appears and right after that you can hit escape. |

I like the ideas. I have to take some time to organize the leaderboards. I only recently got the mod status, the previous mods are pretty much gone. In the mean time, if you want to do runs that currently don't have categories, you can submit the runs to Topaz and I'll make sure to create and put it on the correct category. |

As far as I could notice, he has pretty much perfect mashing but the run doesn't seem to be tool assisted because he makes a few movement mistakes that made him lose 2~5 seconds. Still, maybe he used a macro but there's no way to prove that. Based on the fact he has approved runs in many different games he probably isn't a cheater. I wish there were tools to analyse the run more accurately. |

I'd like to request moderation on Geometry Wars 3 https://www.speedrun.com/Geometry_Wars_3_Dimensions One of the mods doesn't run the game and is inactive, and the other one is inactive for several months now. I tried to contact one of them, no luck. |

Thanks for explaining that makes more sense now. Can you create a thread with the differences? I'll use it to write the rules and differences between versions. |

It's a fair point but it's not like the fastest version isn't available to everyone. It's listed on the resources page. It's different in a better or slower way? Is there anything you can't do in the earlier patch? Also, not every run has the version number shown in the video and I'm not willing to gather that information with each runner. |

What would be the reason? Are there any new glitches in more recent versions of the game? |
Forum: The Vagrant Thread: Speed Glitch and Any% Glitchless Started by: pentalekspentaleks (edited: ) |
Hello, what is the speed glitch stated on the any% glitchless rules? The 'Any% glitchless' run done by merucena has a glitch in the movement done by crouch dashing and spammng jump afterwards. Is this glitch allowed in the glitchless category? |

Answering to your post edit: I run (or used to) several games that High FPS improves the gameplay. In competitive games, having Vsync ON is not a choice, it's completely stupid (sorry there's no better word) because it adds input lag and stuttering. Again, nobody knows what are the consequences of using high framerate in a speedrun setting on Crash N. Sane Trilogy. Banning it without any proof of detriment simply reduces the game's potential not only from a glitch-hunting perspective, but also from a performance pespective due to the input lag Vsync introduces. By having Vsync On, you're changing the how the game performs anyway. Consoles are locked to 30fps. Your point if flawed. |
Forum: The Site Thread: Mods of Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy abusing power Started by: pentalekspentaleks |
The lack of coherence on their justification is outstanding. According to their rules they require the use of an THIRD PARTY software to monitor the framerate but they don't allow the use of the NATIVE graphics card software to change Vsync settings. So you're saying to me that it's okay for mods to delete posts because they don't like to hear opposing opinions, no matter if they're productive or not? What happen with answers like "nah"? This one is very productive right? If that's your judgement, I rest my case then. Sad to hear this kind of behavior is accepted in this site. You might as well delete this post if "it's not productive". |

That's not the case in hand @Liv. They simply prohibited disabling Vsync without a reason because, right now, nobody knows what can potentially go wrong (or right) when using high framerate. My request wasn't because they didn't agree with me, but because they started to delete my posts in order to force their small friend circle's opinion. |

They not agreeing with I'm saying is not the problem. Here's the problem "nah" - Answer for my first post on this topic "There was a reason, you just chose to ignore it." - They said this before explaining the reason "Constantly telling us what we should be doing with OUR game that YOU don't play does nothing except make you look like a douche (which you already admitted to). Plus, Deleting 3 of my posts. |
