Full Game/Contractor Runs

I've been considering doing a full Hector run, but all we have is the level leaderboard. It would also be nice if we had an all heist category although I can't see many people running that since it would take a while.

Could we get contractor categories and a full game category?

Contractor and Full Game categories? Who would want to watch through it and verify it - that would be a moderator's nightmare. Maybe one of those sleeper Mods (AMVX, Lavender_cobra, CommanderCH, mnbmnb336), that haven't done anything in months, would do it? I wouldn't participate in those runs, but I couldn't care less if the categories are there though.

Well okay, maybe not full game runs, but contractor categories could be nice. There are some contractors that are much shorter than others, such as Hector, but I can see Bain being annoying to moderate. I can understand if it would be too much for the mods to actually handle, but it would be nice to see them as options.

I wouldn't mind verifying very long runs, however I doubt there would be enough runners to justify the creation of contractor runs.

Especially since they would have to be single-segment, so they are mostly endurance challenges. For RPGs like the FF games the length is not an issue but I don't think it is appropriate for a game like Payday 2. In my opinion, as a spectator, I prefer watching clean and optimized runs than marathons. But anyway I don't even like endurance heists like Coof Off in-game. I am just not the kind of people that are attracted by that.

Moreover there are already many levels that have not even a single completed run in some categories, or have barely one run. The community looks a bit too small for such extra categories.

Anyway this is just my opinion as speedrunner, I'll contact Cladall and let him have the last word about this.

IMO, contractor runs was an idea but with the game not stopping adding heists, it's impossible to have a category like this. For the moment. It is the same problem with a full game category, with a leaderboard like this, what happen when Overkill adds another heist ? The whole category is no more valable.

For me, category like this, can't be done for the moment. Until they stop PAYDAY 2 and making PAYDAY 3. We have to consider the game like not finished yet.

In another case, when it will be finished. What is the interest to do a multiple heist category ? It will be a real pain to see it with like more than 30 heists in a row. I'm not sure it is good for a category but more for a marathon fun. Or like I really want to do later, like a championship where we can pick multiple heist to do in a row in races. I found this more interesting and fun than just creat à multiple heist category which will be hours and hours... I prefer to see heist alone more than in a block. More because the rythm will be different, you will have heist where you will have to wait (bank heist) which are a real pain to see and other heist with pure action will break the rythm of stealth. I really think the game don't need "full heists" category. Each heist alone is enough.

I maybe make a mistake and I wait arguments which can make my mind switch, but I'm not really sure :p

Do a run anyways, if a few people do the run, most likely it will be added as a category to the leaderboards. I was planning to do a full game run myself, and I still plan to. I assume if the mods see a few people have actually run this then they would add it, and should.

Well, I finally got around to doing the Hector run. It's pretty sloppy in places so I'll probably end up improving on it.
