New Any% is (probably unintentionally) spliced

Hey mods. I've come to reclaim my position as number 1 in any%. The people currently on top, Aalaizah and Patticus, spliced their run. Now I know it looks like the framerate is low , and frankly they might not have intentionally done this, but it's there. For example, skip to 2:14:40 (this is the first one i noticed), you can clearly see as the frames skip and the bus moves forward that the timer doesn't skip to the time that it should be, as it takes around 1.07 seconds to travel this distance in the actual game. While in their run it takes them 0.26 seconds. These jumps happen hundreds of times in the run occurring around every ten seconds.

Here I have proof of these timings:

Hmmm, when I first watched the run I had noticed the frame drops but didn't think much of it.

I have a pretty good guess at what's happening but I'd like to hear what they have to say and will try to get into contact with them for some kind of defence. For now, the run will be removed and you'll be reinstated back to 1st place.

Thanks. I'm sure it was unintentional, but Jtkepic and I compared our run to theirs, and we did the intro, the end, the non-immediate timer start levels (like 3-1 or 1-3), and most of the bussing faster than them, so it wouldn't make sense for them to beat us by two whole minutes.

What you are seeing is the low frame rate through the Elgato. We ran the game on my PC while running the Elgato into obs on my laptop. The timer was running on my laptop since we were only running on one computer. This made it so that we could do splits without exiting the controls of the game. We are still not sure why the frame rate on the Elgato was so low. There were a few things that did go into our time being so fast such as skipped Kevin animations from not unlocking the Kevin levels and only have the three star animations until we had enough stars to beat the game and one of the major things is the monster that my computer is allowing load times to be so short. If you go to our YouTube channel you can see how much load times really matter in this game. Our first run was done on the switch, the second was done on my sisters laptop and the final on my PC. Each has a progressively faster load time.

Yeah, the problem beforehand wasn't frame drops, it was the game skipping ahead and the time not reflecting the actual run, so it's not valid regardless. Latest one seems fine, only had a chance to look through the Any% one so far. I'll get around to the all stars one when I can!

Since this is fair I can't be mad, but hopefully i'll be able to reclaim my position in the coming weeks. The battle is on!
