I'm not allowed to respond to Matumbro so I'm just going to put this here...

For the record I wanted a Glitchless category because I ran the game without unpatching, duping, or warping and figured some other people might want to run that way as well (seems more accessible)... I ran on the hardest difficulty so I'm clearly not trying to create a category where I get first (Like the knights of the nine category)...

I tried to submit an 8 hour long all guilds run (with no duping, out of bounds or warping) again clearly not to get a WR but because I thought someone might want a different way to learn the route since I couldn't really learn much from funcannons run... My run was rejected because I didn't use the "Loadless" timer or limit to 60 frames... a lot of what's cut from the time is not loads such as wait time, accessing menu, and talking to people and I'm pretty sure my game wasn't over 60 frames and if it was I wasn't cheating to get an advantage since my time is 5 whole hours slower than the other run...

Other games are a lot more tolerant of runners such as New vegas... they have a glitchless category (where they don't ban every glitch just the major ones abused in the any% run), they don't require limiting frames unless it's an unfair advantage, they start timer on first input, don't allow starting with an existing save, you don't have to unpatch your game, and time it the way 1 guy wants in order to be competitive...

I think a lot of the rules here are arbitrary or only exist to lower times so that you guys can feel good about yourselves or attract more attention... I don't think there should be an exclusionary culture to speedrunning and the opposite is usually the case with every other game on this site...

If you don't want to share my runs fine I honestly don't care people can find them on twitch or youtube... but to claim that there's dispute over what is and isn't a glitch is disingenuous...

Going out of bounds is a major glitch because it removes certain aspects of the game and that was banned... I'm saying there should maybe be a category that bans duping and warping since it negates several things in the game that make the game challenging... I don't think getting umbra as opposed to azura is a major glitch that makes the run remarkably different... (my main concern with no oob was every single route is the same, you need to unpatch and use a timer I think is cutting more than loads and the differences in time are based on luck or ability to menu as opposed to routes or skill...)

This will probably get deleted because god forbid you challenge the ideas of the first people to mod this site... they're inherently right and there's only two ways to run this game... all of which are on the easiest difficulty...

(I don't want to start a flame war so I'm not going to respond or visit this leaderboard ever again... just wanted to say my piece and let you know why I think the board for this game I love is lame)
