Can somebody PLEASE make a tutorial on how to get and mount the iso file? I don't trust myself on that website and I really want to get into oblivion speedruns

Download a program called PowerISO by going here: http://www.poweriso.com/download.php (hit the download button near the top, then choose 32bit or 64bit. Open up PowerISO and near the top middle area there will be a "Mount" button drop down. Click that and go down to "set number of drives" and choose 1. You will need to restart after this.

Once restarted, you can go ahead and go to the "Resources" section of this page (www.speedrun.com/oblivion/resources) then click on v1.0 patcher and download. In that file there will be a text file called "oblivion disc - Copy" open that up and go to the link that is pasted in there. There will be a long list of links but don't worry, all you need to do is click on the one named "Oblivion [ENGLISH] No-DVD/Fixed Image #2", once you clicked that, near the top of your screen there will be "File Archive [2 KB] - Mini Image" click on the image to the left of that because that text isn't hyperlinked for some reason. Now choose a mirrior (doesn't matter which one, if one doesn't work, try the other) That will take you to Adfly link, skip add once timer is done. Now click on a mirrior again and it should download. In that zip file there will be a .iso file which is basically information that would be on the oblivion installation disc. Extract the .iso file to somewhere you can remember.

Now go back to the PowerISO program, click the "mount" drop down again and click the top option "mount imagae to drive" that will bring up your file explorer. Now just go to where you saved the .iso file and click it.

There you go! The oblivion 1.0 version .iso file should be mounted to a virtual drive that was made by PowerISO. To check and make sure you did everything right, go to "This PC" or "My Computer" depending on windows version, and there should be a drive under "Devices and Drives" that will say something to the extent of "CD Drive (E:) Oblivion" the E could be a different letter. If that is there, you are good to go! Happy runnin!
