Hello everyone. A few months ago I figured out a strat that can cut huge chunks off of singular boss world records. The strat involved picking Brisky Brumal and abusing his ability to stop time. Getting a sub10s time requires this strat and picking the spread shot weapon.
The way that the time abuse strat works is that you should always instantly use your level one defensive super to stop time. While time is stopped, continue to shoot at the boss. The bullets will deal more damage because they are clipped inside of the boss. This strat also works with the border reject and the standard lock buster, but it is not optimal.
At the beginning of the battle, position your foot on the edge of the third brick from the right. Aim upward and continuously shoot. Jump directly into the first stream of homing bullets, take the hit, and use your super. Reposition yourself and continue to shoot. The boss's first phase should be done.
The second phase is very easy. Stand in the same position as the first phase and use your super as you get it.
The third phase is completely RNG dependent. There are two things the boss can do between the transition between phase 2 and 3. The boss can do their slamming attack (which is a big time waster, I always reset when I get that attack). The preferred attack is the knife attack from the second phase. Ending the second phase just as the boss queues this knife attack will allow you to land enough hits to kill him. And, because you got hit in phase one, you won't have to do the encore phase, which saves you lots of time.
