I assume that there's a way to somehow find out what millisecond the run starts on and ends on with the help of that tool? I don't want to waste my time on reading all of that if it's just a calculator where you type in two times and it counts how much time there is between. If that's the case it's pretty unhelpful. I will read it when I have time, but I have been very busy recently and I am the only moderator for the game.
Is there anywhere I can go about learning how to use these retime tools?
I want to make you aware that the frogatto board benefits heavily from counting milliseconds as it is a somewhat short game. I don't think I can do that directly on youtube.
I was about to download the video of a run to retime it in a video editor yesterday, but firefox download helper won't download it for me all of a sudden. That's pretty unfortunate, so what do I do now?
EDIT: I am moderator for the Frogatto & Friends leaderboard.
Here's a rejected run, and apparently it says that the run needs to be recorded in 60 fps. I don't know if the screenshot is showing. Tell me if it doesn't.
You have a point. As the "Send message" function got added we can now communicate more efficiently on this website.
Jeez, I drink 1.5 liter per hour sometimes, is that bad? Why is it? :/
Ok, I'll go with posting it. Thanks for telling me your take on it.
Does posting the link for a games purchase site at the resource page count as Advertising? A game I'm running do have some illegal versions, and if possible we want a non-pirated version to be used in runs. So, is it OK posting the links for the official page where you can purchase it or do I brake any rules?
No, let's have them in order. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and boss, 1, 2, 3... etc
I was about to say that it takes very small efforts to verify ILs in eggshuttle runs thanks to youtube timestamps that runners could use in the URLs, but one thing came to mind: Sometimes the boost-meter can't really read very small amounts of boost so it appears that it's empty when it in fact isn't. And this won't be noticed when combined with new boost capsules. So only for that reason I'm for the rule of no eggshuttle ILs.
I think Cyd has considered this too, but sometimes in the beginning of a level you won't have any boost as you might've used all of it in the former level anyways, so why should we disqualify them despite having no extra boost?
If you're not moderating or doing runs, I think that was a good decision. Glad to have had you as a runner.
I could take on that mission. However something is messed up with your discord friend code and it doesn't show the 4 numbers. Anyways, sent a friend request via steam.
We have been thinking about opening a discord server for discussion about this game. Anyone interested?
In Plagued Mine you need to hit a switch to get the gray key, and the gray key is needed to open the gate for the red key. However you can get it early and let me explain how. Collect 70 coins on the way to the store and buy the tongue extension. When you arrive at Plagued Mine you go directly to the switch, jump off the wall and bounce on the bat that drops bombs. do 3 bounces and stick out your long tongue to grab the key. Then just head to the red gate. This saves 20 seconds and makes 18:xx possible.
As moorea says, who knows what youtube does. I've never thought about actually backing up runs. Another idea is that videos could be reuploaded on archive channels like the MK8DX WR channel. And this could be done on multiple sites in case one goes down. However as long as there's a good site to upload the runs, I am pro- no vid no did.
We prefer that someone does a run before a leaderboard is added for that episode.
