Submitted! As well you may be able to make the set scenarios and the Any% RNG categories as one major category and make the difficulties sub categories to make sure the board doesn't get too messy.
Thanks for adding it!
So I was wondering for a dedicated category since it's usually decently stable to have an Any% for Extracurricular Activities since it's essentially the default main campaign that has some consistency.
If needed I have a run already done and I believe there have also been some done on Youtube
Honestly it should be valid, the whole steam version rule is a specific to prevent piracy. Although given the games nature there should be a bar of proof that you own it
So if I'm reading right it's have glitchless versions of 100% and Any%?
So I'm noticing most of the runners are using Axel. Is this solely because of his Armor stat+Special or is it a preference thing? From what I can tell Warthog or Mr. Slam would have comparable stats to Axel but they don't seem as used
I've also noticed that the Xbox 360 version has several advantages over PC, mainly because PC is prone to crashes very often
Why is the level leaderboard not separated in that case? It seems the board could just have them all together since it's not really different
So is there any real reason why the leaderboards separate each console? If it's IGT technically each should be equal right? Has anyone actually tested this or is it more separated as a rule of thumb
Hi Everyone,
So I'm a new moderator for HOTD2 and looking at the leaderboard it's honestly a bit of a mess and there are a metric ton of categories. I want to make some changes to the leaderboard. Most notably:
The main categories should be the "Legit" runs which are currently categorized as scriptless Fixing the weird tabbing on some runs where Console is considered.
I don't imagine this board is the most active but there are like 2 different locations to submit console runs and since we use a form of IGT we technically wouldn't need both
Sure go for it, as long as we can see the game window like the other emultated runs since it's using the same basis. If we find the loads to be inaccurate we can always just revert it
So this board doesn't get much action, would it be possible to get another category added on which would be for blindfolded runs?
I have a vod already done if that helps
He raises a strong point. I demand a drunk/sober tab
Well I got your answer, the PS4 version is 7 seconds faster. I submitted a new WR. Although you don't get Any% anymore
Don't worry, I'm not a mod but I put in all the work needed to have Silent Hill 1 PC and Console runs separated!
So unfortunately I do not have any footage of this since I did it as a child, but I remember for the final boss there was a UFO fight and the secret agent fight. That being said I know this is going to sound a bit odd with this claim but here me out
For the UFO fight against the giant president robot, if you use the UFO pick up to pick up something you can knock this into The Robot. What this can potentially do is knock the Robot into the water if he moved closed enough. This causes an instant death and brings you to the part two of the fight. It's hard to replicate but I just remembered this is possible and may help trim that section of the game.
While claims like this may be normally suspicious, I do avidly run plenty of games and remember that moment well. I believe it can be implemented with the proper setup. I want to say I had a building or a car and tried to wrap it around the boss
In this case I know NullDC works well it may be wiser to just have that and not separate the boards. We have two runners so far and previously I've used NullDC for my initial run of this. Demul seems absurdly fast and ideally we'd want to stay closer to the original source
We could make an emulator category, but before then I want to ask which emulator are you using and if you own a Dreamcast at all the option to burn the ISO onto a disc is allowed as well since Dreamcast discs are pretty simple to use
Jesus Christ I didn't expect my laggy game to lead to insane timesave. I'm happy with the way this run has unfolded
