It has been over 3 years since my last proper improvement on any level, and I never once believed I it would be on this level, getting the skip, let alone actually managing to get it as clean as this! It took a while for me to figure how it all works, but I did find out that it's all about getting the maximum tension in your lure, so I started with just hooking the grind, extending my lure before jumping. This was easier, but obviously slower, but it did help me get a good understanding of things, and eventually my first PB with the skip.

Then once I was happy enough, I started giving the world record start some tries, and it didn't take too long, and soon enough I got used to it all. It's a bit bittersweet though, seeing as I just barely missed the edge, thus bonking and losing a lot of time. I'm unsure if it could've been a possible new world record or perhaps a tied world record, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

I have at least gotten something I never thought I'd get, so I can't be anything but proud of myself.
