Just make sure you follow the rules for individual tracks EXACTLY.

Specifically this one: -Make sure you show the performance parts screen. If you play on PC, YOU MUST USE YOUR MOUSE to scroll through every screen, including the loading screen.

Added new rules for FPS that MUST be 60fps due to 1.1 version (if you have for example 30fps, the game runs 2x slower than normally, which can give you advantage in IL runs. If you have more than 60fps, the game runs faster). This only affects future runs.

I've decided to add it after seeing Archa4's drag run which most likely used 30fps for the start (the run was rejected due to other reasons though)

so if we play at 30fps,we need to slow down the game in editing or the game itself?(and if the ladder,whats the best way to do that?)

No, you must not play at 30fps at all.

We decided to ban 1.1 version entirely due to framerate issues (even at 60fps lock, the game was running faster than 1.2+)

Ok, so all 24 Drag records are now mine, the only one which was difficult:
Commercial, forward, NOS.
PojeBunny, credit to you, it took me 5 hours of stage restart to beat that 21.07.

About the Underground mode - I am able to get much better time than my current 5:01.06, by the 30th race I can be ahead of my time by at least 1m 30s, so by the end I calculate, that with decent driving I should be ahead by 3 min. At the moment I had 150 more attempts (about 40% of those tries end in the first corner of the Tutorial), but that traffic is driving me crazy 😃

Yeah, the traffic sucks in U1. Btw, make sure to NOT use 1.1 version and always show your framerate on screen. We have discovered that even if you lock 1.1 version to 60fps, it still runs faster than other versions, so we decided to ban it. The main reason is that we don't want to use any 3rd party tools to affect how the game runs.

Also, have you considered using DS? I think it might be faster in later events.

What's the easiest way to show FPS when using OBS? I'm using FRAPS to see my FPS, but not sure how to make OBS record those numbers...
Ewil, what do you mean by "using DS"?

OBS should be able display framerate number.

But not quite sure what is double steering...

Just tried to check couple of videos on Youtube - this slides are insane! Do they have 2 inputs for steering or something? Is it allowed to be used in the runs?

Well... I never owned a steering wheel, but seems like I'm gonna have to get it at some point 😃

Yes, you basically use 2 controllers for steering. A small input with your steering wheel and full-lock with keyboard. With DS you are able to make the very first turn on Olympic Square in like 280kph without using wallbump, which is not possible using just one controller. This trick might be possible using gamepad and keyboard.

Yes, it is allowed in runs (even track records), but nobody used it yet, because very few people actually know how to do it properly.

About that Commercial drag, you might want to try a bit of nos in the air on jumps.
It makes you land with higher rpm and a bit more speed.
Obviously I use too much, but a little should make you faster.

Hi,

I just uploaded some circuit times that are ready for verification. The videos date back from 2014 and have been uploaded on youtube since. I just read in this thread that a rule is that you click through your menu screen with a mouse. But when I made these videos I never assumed that would be needed. If anyone remembers me from 2003 up to 2007 you know I am and was a clean legit racer. Perhaps my reputation from that time (if you know me) can be of any value when the times are verified.

Reputation does not mean anything, following the rules does. If your run does not abide by the rules, it will be rejected.

That is unfortunate but an acceptable reason.
