Rebel Rush $1000 Speedrun Challenge!

Introducing our next challenge in collaboration with Soup With Friends and Egg Nut - the carkour driving platformer, Tails Noir: Rebel Rush!

Here’s everything you’ll want to know heading into the challenge:

Starting Date: September 19th, 2024

Duration: 4 days, until 11:59PM UTC September 22nd, 2024

Prize Distribution:

The $1000 prize pool will be distributed among the top performers for fastest completion time in the Initiate category. The distribution is as follows:

1st place - $500

2nd place - $300

3rd place - $200

Please note that in order to comply with international tax law, the challenge cash prize may be subject to tax withholding based on the winner's country of residence.

Participation Prizes:

Any runner who submits any runs to the Rebel Rush speedrun challenge will receive one month of SRC Supporter, if you haven’t heard of Supporter before you may learn more about it here!

Each participant will also receive 1 copy each of both Tails Noir and Tails Noir: Preludes courtesy of Soup With Friends and Eggnut, who will be reaching out to you after the challenge!

Eligibility:

Open to players aged 18 and above worldwide, with the following exceptions: North Korea, Syria, Sudan, Cuba, Iran, Somalia, and Venezuela.

If you are under the age of 18, not to worry! You can still participate and win the participation prizes, but unfortunately you will not be eligible for the cash prizes amongst the top 3.

Category:

The category of choice for the challenge this time around will be New Game+!Here’s how it’s going to work:

• You must have completed at least 17 of the 18 levels to start a New Game+ run (the 18th level is all 17 levels combined into one track)

• Start the speedrun by selecting the “Drive” option in the main menu which will run you through each of the levels in order without any of the dialog

• Play through all 17 levels, ending time on the results screen at the end of level 17

Submission:

Record your speedrun and submit it via our Challenge leaderboard here on Speedrun.com.

Follow the guidelines provided for video formatting and submission requirements, found in the rules section. Please note that a new requirement has been added to this challenge, requiring that prize eligible runs must have been live streamed.
