Hello everyone!

Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered, ran a game, donated, or watched our event over the last two weekends. Thanks to all of you, we were able to raise $3000 for Save the Children with our first charity event!

We hope that you had an enjoyable two weekends, but we are also always looking for what you liked as well as how we can improve to be better. We're using this thread here so that you can post your feedback on NASA 2020. Let us know what you liked, what you didn't like, and how we could do even better going forward.

If you want to submit feedback anonymously, we also have a Google Form you can use instead:

Barring another year of lockdowns, we're hoping to see all of you next year for NASA 2021 in Cleveland!

Event seemed to have went pretty smoothly, just wish I had a little more time to test my setup since it went tits up just before the run :I

In a nutshell: A dedicated setup test room. Could even be before the event begins.

But I think when this goes on-site again, it's going to be run completely differently. (which I won't be taking part due to obvious travel expense reasons)

I commentated the Ballrace run along with Dan.

It went about how I expected, the biggest issue was apparently my vlc stream was really far behind. I don't know if there's anything that can be done about that given my crappy internet, but, it wasn't that bad during our practice races when we were using discord screen share.

I was also under the impression that our race was on Sunday instead of Saturday. I had stayed up really late the night before and did the whole stream in my underwear. That's funny in hindsight, but, it could be a sign of some organization improvements that could be made. If it weren't for Covid-19, I probably would have been on a more reasonable schedule to begin with.

Most of our success was because we did practice races, and because my partner Dan did such a great job. He really carried the stream on that one. Thanks, Dan.

Other than that, everyone was really nice and professional. Once we found our flow, I had a good time. I'd love to come back and help again, whether it's; commentating; running; volunteering; etc. I just wish we could have raised even more money.

Online events are always so fun, but have you guys ever thought about doing one in person?

The only issue I had is one that would be moot at an in-person event and might not be solvable anyway. When I went back and watched my VOD's, anytime the host talked to me his talking was live but mine was delayed (or....something), the upshot being that he was talking over me and reacting to things I said before I said them. It's not a huge deal, especially since the host didn't say all that much, but it definitely sticks out.

Other than that, I was quite happy with the experience. Just wish my incentives had raised more than $2 😂
