All cups confusing rules

The rules list for All Cups says emulator and VC are banned, then proceeds to say runs submitted to EMU must be run on an emulator. It has an EMU category, so I have to assume you can submit an emulator run to the EMU category? Is the rules conflicting like that intentional?

My guess would be that the phrasing in that was an oversight and the "EMU" category for those runs accepts emulators. The same goes for VC.

Other categories like Ring Shot have similar stipulations, yet they have VC and EMU categories. I know from my personal experience of posting Ring Shot VC runs that they are accepted if in the right category. So, yeah, I think it is just a mistake.

I'm sure the wonderful moderators of this community shall handle such fixes in a timely fashion. :)

Cool, thanks for the info.

I'm very late to this but sorry for the confusion. VC and EMU used to be banned for some categories like All Cups, but that is no longer true. They are now accepted, but separated into their own categories as ProfessorJamal alluded to.
