I have created three tournaments on challonge.com. These are a series of races in a double elimination bracket, and the best performer will win the championship! There are three seperate brackets for the three main categories.

Sign-up for any or all that you want to try your hand at. Note that the deadline for entry is May 14. Once this date is reached, you can discuss with your opponent to find a time that works for both of you, either via this post or some outside chat thing. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I'm not trying to be rude in the slightest, but would it be okay if one of the mods (me or otherwise) organized the tourney? We would only be pushing it back by a few days or so, so we could come up with some guidelines and such that we think work out the best (i.e. the issue of video proof, etc.). We'd be considering everyone involved when making the rules, and I just want to make it fair for everyone. Thanks!

@breakdancinggamer That time is just when the sign-ups officially end. Matches are played whenever both you and your opponent are free to play. Because of this, the tournament will probably be going on for days after the sign-up deadline.

Just as a thought, maybe we should have JUST the Any% tournament for now and then have the other categories as tournaments maybe later in the summer. I think it might be better to focus on the one big tournament rather than 3 smaller tournaments. Any% has the most entrants thus far anyway, and we would still do the others at a later date.

SBS, I mostly agree. However, I believe we should still do All Captains. It already has several participants signed up, and with the backing of mods, we can definitely get it up towards the entrants of Any%.

SBS, if you join All Captains, I'm sure a lot of others will too.

And I'm fine with All Characters being cancelled. Since runs take about two hours, it seems more like a summer thing.
