A Beginners Guide to Speedrunning Monster Trucks

I'm just going to list the most important things to keep in mind in any given race. Different tracks have unique strategies. In general, the fastest time can be achieved by:

- Hugging the inside edge of the map as much as possible, unless a turn for the outside is coming up, in which case crossing diagonally is ideal
- Avoiding ramps, unless they are small and right before a turn, in which case the aerial adjustment can allow you to take the turn faster than if you just stayed grounded
- The AI of the other trucks can fuck you over pretty hard in the first 10 seconds on tracks 5-10. Don't be afraid to reset until they're being more kind
- If you ever take a ramp by accident, make sure to hold down to readjust your car. It leaves you bouncing for less time and avoids a bigger time loss
- Corners can be cut SLIGHTLY, but trying to cut too hard will screw you over so it's best to avoid cutting until you're really practiced
- Don't be afraid of ditches. The momentum you gain going down the slope balances out when you go up the otherside. Ditches are often in areas where you need to cross the track for an ideal time save, don't avoid them because you think they're slower.
