@nrgzam OK, so what you're telling me is that if I, Axon, or Doicm were japanese, then No Doppler Skip would be separated, correct? Both of them ran the category in 2010 and 2012 respectively, before MMRTA existed, and before leaderboards as a whole were even a thing at all, but that doesn't matter because they weren't japanese, right? That's all I am hearing.
Also, ending credits and cutscenes (not even tracked in the run) have little or nothing to do with the run itself. You cannot dance around this. There's no harm in adding No Doppler Skip to misc categories, that's what they're for.
Even misc categories have standards. Best ending, max% is a misc category because it offers unique, interesting gameplay; "no doppler skip"(I can't even believe I'm saying those words in that order) does not. You act like communities have some sort of responsibility to add categories for whatever dumb idea for a speedrun you come up with; they don't.
I didn't come up with it, people came up with it multiple years before you have ever made a twitch account. Your personal vendetta against me is not relevant in this discussion.

Pre-existing leaderboards including a category set a precedent for including said category, if you'd stop shitposting in addition to ignoring shitposting, that'd be nice.
Cutscenes are actually tracked in the run, this is why we don't kill bit and byte, because then the explosion cutscene is skipped and is replaced with a quick text box instead. The ending is only not tracked because it comes at the end, and won't vary in execution, so we stop our timers before it's over, the relevant part of the run is done.
Calling us racists for incorporating an existing leaderboard on speedrun.com is silly and still doesn't demonstrate what makes No Doppler Skip a unique and interesting category. It just looks like All Stages where you decide to get the saber later rather than sooner.
Just to weigh in but me and darko ran Max% best ending way back in 2012 since it was an established category (we called it 100% Best ending), it was more ran than 100%, in addition it was the only "100%" to have a TAS until only recently.
Most of the emulated runs on the nico leaderboards are likely on uosnes, which is comparable in accuracy to snes9x 1.43.
NRGzam, I have not "shitposted" at all, I'm merely pointing out that you add japanese runs from 2010-2012, but not American runs from 2010-2012 for arbitrary reasons. It's not my fault that you and your teammates are exhibiting the attributes of racists.
Point is, runs for this category date back to the same time period, if not even earlier, and you ignore them in favor of pretending like I had just made it up last week.
CriscoWild: If the majority of the community is going to make an effort to fix the dissenting situation I have to go with that. MMRTA is largely the majority of users running the game, and they don't seem to agree with who was running the board, regardless of any specific details. I also get that people don't like each other, and have poor ways of expressing that at times. I don't think some of the people of the minority opinion are any better in that regard. I don't know that a personal explanation would change anything pertaining to the circumstances in this instance.
Zewing: Category extension board requests have to come from moderators of the base game. Splitting the moderation across boards for the same game is a recipe for failure.
