Having incredible difficulty using cheat codes

Hey everyone. I've been pulling my hair out trying to get these codes to work. I have the japanese MM on my wii and I can run it just fine. But I downloaded the .gct files for the cheats and can not get any software to find or recognize them. I couldn't find a single tutorial on YT or just plain google that made sense. Gecko wont even find MM much less the codes. Every other piece of software I downloaded had similar problems. Any help for what I'm doing wrong or what I should do differently would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey man if u put ur codes in the proper folder gecko will recognize then no matter what as long as you have the right settings which are the default ones and if you got you mm wad file form ZSR look for NARJ when youre looking for channels to open and if you have any other problem please reply

Hey I have the .gct in a "codes" folder on the SD. My Gecko settings are default but when I hit launch game it tells me there is no disk loaded. I can get MM running from priiloader but nothing else.

you need to go to selec channel. the first option tried to lad the game in your disc slot. if you dont have a channel option then you have to patch a certain ios version. i dont remember what it is tho

On the codes spreadsheet which explains the code, there is an installation thing, which says that you do need to change settings. 1 of them is loading cheats from SD and the hook type. After you've done that, it will recognize codes. And like the others said, you want to load a channel instead of disc. For me personally it's a lot of 0's,but it has (NARJ) at the end of it.

If you do not have a "Launch Channel" option in Gecko OS you need to patch IOS36. You can use Simple-IOS-Patcher (SIP) to patch it. If your Wii is connected to the internet SIP can download IOS36 for you then patch it. If your Wii is not connected to the internet you will need to download the IOS36 wad and put it at the root of your SD card before loading SIP.

The GCT File needs to go in SD:\codes<ChannelID>.gct In Gecko OS go to Config Options and make sure the following are correct:   HookType:  default   Debugger:  off   SD Cheats: on

To boot the game select "Launch Channel" then Select either of the following:   Zelda: Majora's (U)  ← This the english version   NARJ           ← This is the japanese version
