Recording on switch

I can't get clips over 30 seconds on switch so I do the last 30 seconds of the race. Is there any way to record more? If not, is 30 seconds enough to submit?

You could point a phone camera at the TV screen to record the whole run.

@cielogan There are a few main ways to record runs. And before you ask, no; not all runs require video proof. There is a list under the Game Rules that shows what time's will require video. It is best to have video no matter what though. It generally makes submitting future runs less of a hassle.

The ways to record runs go as follow: Capture Card + OBS/SLOBS; with this setup, you are recommended to have a computer, though a mediocre laptop should work fine. If you are streaming it, you would also need a decent internet connection. I can't recommend computers, but basically all HDMI capture cards would work. I use the Elgato HD60 S, it's on the more expensive end at around USD$125, but there are others for closer to USD$20-50 that work just fine.

The other way is with a phone/webcam. Just set up your phone to record the screen of your TV or Switch and make sure the entire TV is in frame. You can upload it to youtube or use the Twitch/Streamlabs app to stream it. Both ways work fine, and you shouldn't have trouble getting a legitimate run verified.
