Hey everyone, Ive just finished my first Oltura run and had to take 2 short breaks during the run. I went back to the Switch Home Menu to pause the game. So my question is: are you allowed to pause the time during such a break or does the timer keep going?

For Real Time Attack (RTA) speedrunning it is generally not allowed to pause the timer even if you aren't actively playing the game. This means duing pauses or breaks the timer is till running (hence the name "Real" time). Some game categories allow this for exceptionally long speedruns (i.e. BotW 100%).

For MHST2 Oltura% pausing the timer at any time during a submission is not allowed. However, this does not invalidate the submission. We can retime the submission based on the recording playback time, though this may result in an inaccurate (increased) time.

Alright thanks for the quick answer! It's probably just 3 Minutes that I lost by doing the breaks so no big deal in such a long run :)
