Lol that was Sweet Entropy. I can even explain you why sometime it doesnt work. This mission is the worst in Perfect Stealth NG+ The reason being that there is 5 to 6 differentes pattern possible when you start the mission, that's why sometime the dude isn't standing at the right place. You could probably lure the dude at the edge of the struck with a tranq shot if you happend to miss the rock, but i doubt it's faster than rushing to the top. And that would need extensive testing.

Alos worth mentioning for perfect stealth, that since stuning/tranq someone to is death(Fall, drowning etc) doesn't count toward your kills, there might be set up for Perfect Stealth that are way more faster than the current method that i'm using. However i'm not willing to put more time into this mission, this is probably the one that cost me the most of my overall time in the run..

Actually, on one platform at least, he always spawns in the same spot. The back up strat (running to the helipad and shooting a rocket up at a spot on the wall) hits him 10/10 times.

The problem with the helicopter shot is the shot itself. You have about 1 second to switch weapons, aim, switch shoulders, zoom, and hit the right spot, all with the helicopter moving and Snake's hands shaking. Every time I hit the right spot, it got him. Problem is actually hitting it.

I actually think if you practiced the shot for hours and hours, you could probably hit it fairly consistently. It's just really hard.

I'll record/upload the back up strat for people who want to do any%.

Yeah he always spawn in front of the door. and his always on the top. However depending on what you do, and if the enemies enter combat status etheir because of you, or the chopper they might move.

Combat status = Random behavior

It's possible that the rocket always hit him however since it's a special npc ^^

That is pretty ridiculous. And amazing.

I think needless to say though, we should put down a rule, "Must start mission from one of the default mission start areas." We could create a new category for this, but I don't really see people running it. Every run would end up being like 10 seconds. Maybe I'm wrong though. Either way, it should absolutely not be allowed in the regular categories.

Here's the back up strat for the quick kill on Mission 22. It's exactly 30 seconds slower than the helicopter shot, but much much faster than actually climbing up there and getting him. Has worked every time for me that I've tried it so far.

vanilla runs obviously cant do this cause they dont have the wormhole. for IL runs it should definitly be banned since 10 second runs are dumb :D

but are we banning this for full game ng+ runs as well? kinda seems like a legit strat for RTA ng+ runs

If there is a single problem with this one, I don't know what I have to find to satisfy you guys! This glitch removes a lot of "1 minute" in SS runs! Of course, you will have to find a "route" because sometimes you will have to use LEFT or RIGHT because the "no LZ mission" will not be next to the mission you want to remove the chopper from etc.

Holy shit Pewable. Now we're talking!

I'm doing full runs of NG any% and I was doing a run tonight and I was just thinking about how annoying it is that probably a full 20-30 minutes of a 3 hour run is nothing but chopper time.

So let's see, this means in a full game run, you can skip the chopper intro for missions 3, 12, 14, 23, 30. Any others I'm forgetting?

On a NG run, I am sure you can remove all the chopper sequences because all you have to do is to go on a no chopper mission and to select it while pressing RIGHT, it will put you at the end of the list. Do you see what I mean? But sometimes there are more than one mission to appear sooo eeeh... needs testing.

When I say "go to XX - XX then" it means going from the top of the mission list to the XX one so that its place in the mission list will be the good one so that you can use LEFT or RIGHT to go to the one which you want to glitch. I know, I explain badly and it's a little complex.

I think that's all, it means there are only 6 missions where you can't do it (I am sure there is at least one that I just didn't find how, so please take a look too guys).

Also, you buddy isn't next to you, but for a SSrun it's still faster than the chopper, this glitch is not for ILs at all.

Wow, if you can do it for almost every mission in a full game run, then you just essentially cut off 20-30 (boring, uneventful) minutes off every full game run. If so, cheers to you sir.

Will test this out this weekend.

For NG, the only missions that it seems that you can't do this with are 4, 7 and 8, unless there are other batch unlocks that I'm forgetting about.

4 is faster to get to by horse after 3 anyway. And 7 is one of the only missions where you DON'T want the default landing zone, so you wouldn't use it anyway.

But yeah, this is going to knock 15-20 minutes off every full game run once everyone learns to do it.

Only catch that I've found is that your buddy doesn't spawn with you, they are parachuted in on Mission 3. A bit annoying, but still a massive time save.

Pewable marry me. I can't start to practice it right now but, yeah. I'll as soon as possible for All missions it's a 30 minutes improvement flat. wich mean that a perfect potential time for NG+ Perfect stealth all missions whould be 2h50 minutes. I'm just amaze.
