Thinking about trying to do a casual run of this game, but I want to do the ps3 version. I know it will be slower, but I'm wondering if there are any of the strats or tricks used on the pc version runs that work on ps3?

Both me and tentaclepie have done runs on console version. I think his best time was ~2:25 on PS3, mine was around 2:35 on X360 (although i started off running on console and switched while he did a random ps3 run long after he started running). Mostly everything should work, the only things that you really are disadvantaged on is combat (can't bind as many abilities to buttons) loading times and dialogue skipping. Certain combat strategies may be harder for you to pull off with a controller as well, but shouldn't be impossible (mostly precise fast shooting like on the final boss). The only thing i have no idea about is the glitch on the tali mission in the no DLC categories, it may work but I have no idea.

Thank you, I have been wanting to run a mass effect game forever because it's me favorite series, but I noticed everyone was using pc so I was worried some of the tricks or glitches wouldn't work on ps3.

Also is there a run with commentary for New Game with dlc?

your best bet for commentary is probably looking at my super old NG DLC run, which probably just has live commentary. Supplement that with my fully commentated SDA run which is NG+ DLC (you can find a link on my twitch page) for figuring out some of the less obvious stuff, I guess.
