just retimed dark's speedrun and i got 5.267 for his time. I could have mistimed it but I'm pretty sure he tied my and mmmmm1010's runs, not beating ours.

I also got 5.200 but when I set up everything perfectly and centered myself on the 32nd block from the border, the best time I could get was 5.250
The best spawn for a closest border run is assumed to be 32 blocks from the border as found by birj a while back. SpaceByte claimed you can spawn closer but I don't think we ever saw any video proof. I set up a "best case scenario" run by centering myself on the 32nd block from the border and started and stopped timing according to your wr. The best time I got from that was 5.250 but I might have been a bit closer to the border than spawning in a new world.
