Me and my friend have Minecraft 1.16 and also Minecraft:Education Edition but we prefer speedrunning in Minecraft: Education Edition in 1.14, So is speedrunning in Minecraft:Education Edition allowed??
No it's not allowed its like a mod that gives an advantage and any mods or stuff that give an advantage the reason I call this a mod is because education is not a automatic Minecraft world setting.

Education Edition could be counted under bedrock edition as it uses the same coding but as it doesnt get the love and attention like Bedrock and Java has, there is no point
@GoosePlays20 Agreed 100%! I'll take it a step further, and say that I've never understood why minecraft editions have separate leaderboards in the first place. In my opinion, it would be in the community's best interest to merge these games together into one leaderboard, to boost active player count, keep runs and communities consolidated into one place, and altogether make things so much simpler for all us runners. An "edition" variable could be used to distinguish versions. All of these games have extremely similar runs and routes, with the set seed category world records always being within two minutes of each other across all three main editions. I also think that games like mcedu, mce, mc3ds would all benefit from the extra attention.
