Thread: Question Thread for New Runners

Started by: RiddlerRiddler

Been a while since I last ran and have a few hours this morning free. I'm not familiar with the term Flock Clip. Is that pushing yourself through a corner and an object (Rock, key block) or is it something else? Thinking of redoing the Legacy run since that's what's on the NDS store.

Thanks for that one Bamboo.

After looking at various run varieties, it looks like the Legacy one is close to what I would be doing with version 1.2?

Thanks. I hope it's going to be fun re-learning the game with fewer glitches.

Backstory: I wanted to play LADX at work during breaks so I got it from the Nintendo shop. Problem is some glitches don't work to my horror.

Question: What version does the shop use and what guides are available for said version for 100% and any%? (I prefer doing 100% runs though).

I have a long week at work ahead of me (boss took a vacation), but I'll definitely give it a look at during my slow time.

(edited: )

I need some help with a personal run I've been working on to find a feasible, if not acceptable route to take. I've pretty much found a working route for the Any% run, but I have no idea where to start on the 100% run.

It helps watching at 2x speed
My pitiful Any% run I did as practice.

My rules are below.

Any% Rules
Beat the game
Wrong Warp is allowed such as doghouse, but only screens you can find through a normal non-glitched run are allowed.
OOB screen transitions are allowed up to two (2) screen transitions. Returning to the original screen counts as one (1).
The same rule applies for Super Swim (Super Jump in the water)
All Dungeons must be entered and exited through normal game entrances.
All Bosses Defeated

100%
All the above rules.
All Photos
Trade sequence completed
All three (3) item upgrades (bomb, magic, arrow)
Red or Blue Tunic (Tunic Glitch is allowed as an acceptable alternative to change your color as opposed to going to the Color Dungeon).
All Items on the main item screen including the health potion.
Dungeon Items like keys, boss keys, maps, ect are not required. I.E. Super Jumping into the Boss room in Dungeon 5.

Thread: LADX WTF moments

Started by: CravoneCravone

I had a moment that was really weird, but I didn't get it on video because I was practicing some routes before going to work. I was in the lost woods coming from the guy's house with the letter. I went down one screen and tried to jump over the hole to get the heart piece. But the top moblin hit me with an arrow and I fell into the pit and was instantly transported to an area like the dog house glitch where everything is all messed up. I can't duplicate what happened (since I don't know what I did to trigger it I.E. kill a certain # of enemies, kill enemies in a certain order or such).

That's a bummer. Oh well. Thank you, you both were helpful.

You see I don't like going all the way around up through the mountain. Would this be an acceptable route to take because the current OOB rules say that I can't screen transition while in a place I'm not normally supposed to be. As long as you jump down after passing the rock it doesn't break the rule.

EDIT: sorry I was listening to some music and it got captured as well.
