Idk if this has been found, which it probably has, but I've discovered a way to duplicate the spade key. It's not useful in any way though, you just pick up the keys one at a time and when you walk up the the altar door, it acts like it normally does. So, has this been found or not? Nothing serious, just wondering if it has or not.
My guess: That spawn point works differently from regular chests. When you have an opened chest with a resting key, it will only pop out upon entering the room and there is no despawn from going 1 room out, 1 room in. With Van Gore, it works differently. Obviously it is spawning a key every time you enter the hallway because you are following the adjacent room rule. It also seems like it is removing all keys every time you leave Van Gore's room because it had no key when you went 1 room out and then back in. So you left the room which despawaned it (0 keys in room). Then you walked into the hallway and added a key to the room 4 times (4 keys in room). And because you never triggered the "exiting of Van Gore's room" it maintained 4 keys in the room.
I know i am kinda late but this trick has been known sence 2014 (to my knowledge). Pretty cool but the SMALL testing that was done then found it useless :/
