Hey guys, i have updates the no autoscrollers mod for misc category speedruns. hope more people use it because its more fun imo and its very fast paced with almost no downtime in the run aside from capping cp's.

All autoscrollers timers are set to 1 second, this includes levels such as Felucia, Kashyyk, Coruscant, Death star, Polis Masa, Yavin, Hoth. In addition to setting autoscrollers to 1 second, i have also set the victory delay timer to 1 second, this removes any rng with victory screens from all maps. Strats are different, time is shortened, so gear up for some fast paced, action pakced speedruns. Use this link to download the addon folder which you simply copy and paste into your gamedata folder.

just out of curiosity, why ps2 only?

yea, ideally the level leaderboard would have all the missions, side missions and the bases/challenges because they are technically missions with the way they are played

well anything can be a category if people will just run it, we need to make some decisions and get a strawpoll or something up, its been a while and the only category is still any% 😕

but you also dont need benchmarks for 100%, what im tryin to get at is that play trophy and 100%, are they really so different that it requires a separate category? if they are basically the same length and one is simply just building upon the other, then why need 2?

like ive got 100% and all trophys but i did 100% first, so i dont really know how much you need to do in order to get the trophys without 100%

theres really not much benefit to a classic% if its just removing fast travels and stuff that makes the game faster though? like web swinging is cool in the game, but theres no need to make it tedious

i reckon the name "Spider-man PS4" would be more convenient and easier for people to find, judging from googles search results 'spiderman ps4' is more searched than 'marvels spiderman' and when you search for the latter it also comes up with the spiderman homecoming filmb (also the tv series). in addition to this whenever i hear people talking about the game they dont even mention the name 'marvel' because socially its implied and because its the most recent spiderman game, you dont need to specify the full title. So taking all this into consideration i think that it would be easier for people to find and access if the name was just spiderman PS4. But i do also understand why people want it to stay as the 'official' name.

i reckon for categories we could just do, Any% and 100% as main categories. potentially use sub categories for pre orders. then i think it would be pretty neat to have a misc category or just a shorter one that more people could do because it wouldnt take hours to run, like the Backpack% previously mentioned, or even just a Backpack, Crime and Photo% since they are the earliest collectables i think?.

(apparently they are working on ng+ aswell btw which is cool)

i have elgato game capture hd60S, but if there was an easy converter from hdmi that wouldnt butcher quality too bad i could go for that

does anyone know what capture card would be good for ps2 thats also cheap? i have the game but i only have one of the ps4/ps3 capture cards (elgato) so rip me?

if you add the load remover .asl code as a 'scriptable autosplitter' in livesplits layout feature, then yes it will. just make sure its set up properly with comparison against game time, and the latest steam version of the game

Hey guys, im on the pc version and was just wondering if its just me or if anyone else has had this bug whilst trying to complete the game any% at fast'ish pace:

i finish the final level on warp room 2 or 3 and when i try to enter the boss warp it doesnt to anything, none of the other warps work either and i have to exit and re-enter the game.

personally i think it looks fine the way it is 😃 the 4 main categories then instant action with its sub cats and then misc

you can always run it without bouncer for fun, its up to you how competitive you wanna be
