Should Video Proof be required for Ultimate choice WR?

I did not make a poll because literally anyone can vote

If you have below 4 minutes on Sizzling Threat (5.0) or any time on Soul Melter (S) please give your opinion.

I personally think Image proof for WR is fine, The game tells you if they used amiibo, if they used 2p, and what Abilities they used.

This will not affect Guest Stars btw

I personally believe that videos should still be required for WR, but I think demo makes some great points on why it may not be necessary

Long Answer: Although I think Video is still more cheat safe, I kind of think that Image proof is fine for WR on Ultimate Choice. It would suck if someone was used to image proof and then they end up getting WR and they didn't record and then they couldnt submit their run for WR even though they should get it. So I would say Image Proof is fine because everyone else is allowed image proof too.

Short Answer: I think Image Proof is fine.

It's a weird situation, since anyone can edit a picture and make a fake WR look legit. But at the same time, these things tend to get discovered over time, and at that point things can be taken care of. It'd be nice if we could avoid the situation altogether, but on the bright side, more people would run the category if all they need to do is post the picture after they finish.

tl;dr I think Image WR is fine. Video is nice, but not necessary.

I would ask for video proof if a different ability (let's say 'cutter') goes to the top. Since any top ability/character has currently video proof (bomb, dedede, meta knight), an image as proof is fine (unless there's a large gap between the 2nd and 1st time).

Lets say you take a picture of your game rather than sending the screenshot on twitter. I think that would be pretty hard to photoshop compared to the twitter image

A video would be VERY much appreciated, as it helps others track their PBs for certain bosses and compare them to the WR’s boss times. Also because it can easily studied and referenced for developing strats or techniques.

but shouldn’t be NECESSARILY to submit. A picture should be fine as it’s as much as a cheat safe for all other places, making it equal ground in sense of rules.

I do my practice runs during class and I would be unable to video it then; therefore, it would really suck if I happened to get WR. I think the same case could be made for guest stars.

"If you have below 4 minutes on Sizzling Threat (5.0) or any time on Soul Melter (S) please give your opinion" You have neither

Seems like everyone agrees with accepting image proof. I will change the rules. I will also add co-op as I know Sokuno has done co-op runs of both difficulties. I'm going to lock this now.
